RickJohn Roofing, based in Highland Park, Pennsylvania, was founded in 1978 by good friends Rick Gammiere and Robert “Bob” John Wallo. Both native Pittsburghers, they have been restoring and servicing some of the most prestigious homes in Pittsburgh for the past 45 years.

Rick and Bob got their start in construction in the 70s, working for a home construction company. They worked all day, every day, going door-to-door, asking homeowners if they needed any work done on their homes’ exteriors. Understanding the importance of customer service, they put a premium on keeping the customers happy – eventually their focus concentrated on roofing and RickJohn Roofing was born.

Through the years, hard work, attention to detail and the ability to deliver excellent customer service has made the business grow through referrals and word-of-mouth.

We’ve learned a lot through the years, and we know how important a roof is to a home: it creates curb appeal, increases the value, and is an important part of the whole home’s aesthetic. We only use high-quality materials, and our professional roofing installers and repairmen who are all from Pittsburgh have many years of experience.

As Pittsburgh’s residential roofing experts, RickJohn Roofing focuses on specialty roofing projects including slate and tile roofing, standing seam roofs, flat roofs, asphalt roofs and custom copper metal work and metal fabrication.

After 42 years together, Bob made the tough decision in 2020 to retire in search of a warmer climate and Rick and his son Richard now run day-to-day operations.
